Snorkel in a Famous Marine Preserve
If you're looking for a spot to snorkel, Hanauma Bay Nature Park is the ideal location for both novice and experienced underwater explorers. A sunken volcanic crater that opens to the Pacific on one side, the inner reefs are the perfect protection from the dangerous currents and predators of the deeper ocean. You'll see all kinds of colorful fish, including Hawaii's state fish—Humuhumunukunukuapua'a—which is much smaller than its name! The huge beach is also a great place to spread out a blanket and catch some rays. Hike up to ridge overlooking the bay for amazing photo shots. The park is closed on Tuesday, and has varied hours according to the seasons.More Activities
